1. Who we are

lafz.store is run by Lafz, a sole proprietorship of Ravnish Kumar, not registered for GST. “We”, “us” and “Lafz” mean that business; “you” means the person using the site or placing an order. The seller and our grievance officer:

Placing an order is an offer to buy the prints in your bag at the prices shown. The contract is made when your payment goes through and we email your order confirmation.

You must be 18 or over, or order with a parent’s or guardian’s permission, and give a delivery address in India. Please check your details and the preview carefully: each print is made for your order.

We may decline or cancel an order, with a full refund, if the price shown was clearly wrong, if we suspect fraud, or if we can’t make the print to our standard.

3. The prints

Prints are made and framed in India. Each design is shown as it will be printed. Colours on screen can differ slightly from paper and ink, and wooden frames vary naturally in grain and tone. Sizes are given in centimetres; a frame adds to the outside size as stated on each print’s page.

We take care to print each couplet, its Roman Urdu reading and the poet’s name accurately from published sources. The English meanings on the site are our own paraphrase to help you choose and are not printed. If you think a couplet or attribution is wrong, please tell us.

4. Prices and payment

Prices are in Indian rupees and are the full amount you pay for the print. Standard delivery is free; priority shipping costs extra and the total is shown before you pay. Lafz is not registered for GST, so no GST is charged or shown on your order.

Payments are processed securely by Razorpay (UPI, cards, net banking and wallets). We never see or store your card or UPI details. For a problem with a payment, write to us first; you can also reach Razorpay support, or ask your bank or card issuer about a chargeback under its own rules and time limits. We may change prices at any time, but not for an order you have already paid for.

5. Discount codes

One discount code can be used per order, subject to any conditions shown with it (such as a minimum order or an end date). Codes have no cash value and can’t be applied to an order after it is placed. We may withdraw a code at any time.

6. Delivery and risk

We deliver as set out in the shipping policy. Delivery times are estimates. The print becomes yours, and your responsibility, once it is delivered to your address.

7. Cancellations, damage and refunds

Prints are made to order, so an order can’t be cancelled once it is placed and we don’t take change-of-mind returns. We replace or refund anything damaged in transit, misprinted or lost, and refund an order that arrives late. The refund and cancellation policy explains how. Nothing in these terms affects your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

8. Our designs and content

The designs, typesetting, photographs and text on this site belong to Lafz or are used with permission. Buying a print gives you that print to keep, display and give as a gift. It doesn’t give you the right to copy, scan, reproduce or sell the design, or to use it commercially.

9. Using the site

Please don’t misuse the site: no attempts to break its security, place fraudulent orders, copy its content in bulk or interfere with other people using it. We may suspend access if you do.

10. Our responsibility to you

We are responsible for supplying prints as described and for the remedies in our refund policy. As far as the law allows, our total liability for an order is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we aren’t liable for indirect losses. This doesn’t limit any liability that can’t be limited by law.

11. Disputes and governing law

Please contact our grievance officer first; most problems are fixed quickly. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Patiala, Punjab have jurisdiction, without affecting your right to approach a consumer commission under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page when you place an order is the one that applies to it.
